Julia Benz (b.1985 in Wittlich) is a young Berlin-based painter trained at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Using a highly colored palette, her painting style range from figurative to conceptual art, with works mainly on canvases and rare inroads into street art.

Having exhibited in Cologne or Hamburg, the german artist is now having a solo show at the Urban Spree Galerie in her new hometown of Berlin.

"Everything Amazing - Nobody Happy" will open on November 29th, 2013 in the Galerie.

Julia will set her headquarters in November in the Galerie and will paint in situ. The month-long painting process will be open to the public (12:00 - 18:00, Tuesdays to Sundays), giving to the Berliner crowd the occasion to witness a major work in the making, day after day.

The whole painting process will also be documented by Editude Pictures and will culminate into a short movie for which some financing is needed (see the video below).
