WallonWall Exhibition at the Berlin Wall

  • Jul 08, 2013

coverWALLONWALL is an outdoor 'in situ' photographic exhibition of 36 huge panoramics pasted directly on the Berlin Wall. The pictures are about the 8 largest separation walls still standing (except  for the Berlin Wall) and were taken by renowned Berlin based documentary photographer Kai Wiedenhöfer, a photographer that relentlessly denounces segregation.

On the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall at Mühlenstraße in Friedrichshain, 364 m of the wall will be pasted with 36 panoramic pictures, each one being  3 m x 9 m. The pictures are shown on the West side Gallery, the other side of the East Side Gallery wall, facing the Spree.

A photobook, 'Confrontier' is also being released by Steidl about Kai Wiedenhöfer's photographic work about separation walls, since his latest book Wall in 2007.
