About the artist:
Sylvain Perier aka SP 38 is a French street & "figuration libre" artist, and activist based in Berlin since more than 20 years. A historic figure in the Paris squat scene and part of the early graffiti movement (1985 in Bondy together with Speedy Graphito, Miss Tic, Jef Aérosol, Epsylon Point, Blek le Rat, Futura, Nuklé-Art, Banlieue-Banlieue…), he moved to Berlin in 1995 and joined several German artistic squats such as the Tacheles. He tirelessly roams the city, pasting posters carrying ironic statements, such as "Vive la bourgeoisie", "Vive la crise" in his particular, highly iconic hand-written style. He travels the world for performances and to display his stickers and posters.
