About the Concert
Urban Spree and pøj pøj present Arms and Sleepers, Sun Glitters, and Rome in Reverse live in Berlin at Urban Spree.
Arms and Sleepers is the Boston based music duo Max Lewis and Mirza Ramic. The group was formed in 2006 and has since released 18 albums and EPs, written music for film and TV, and performed live in Asia, Europe, and North America. Their latest album, "Swim Team Remixed", a series of remixes from their LP "Swim Team", is out on 09.02.2016.
Sun Glitters is the glitchy, summer obsessed, sun-drenched electronic project of Luxembourg musician Victor Ferreira. Debuting in 2011 with the acclaimed full-length, Everything Could Be Fine and a seemingly endless string of EPs, self-released tracks and remixes, Sun Glitters has quickly left a mark on the electronic music scene. In two short years, he has toured clubs and played festivals throughout Europe and received glowing coverage from Dazed & Confused, BBC, Resident Advisor, Earmilk, XLR8R, Pitchfork, The Guardian and a bevy of trend setting music outlets. Everything from the band name to the washed out pastels of the artwork to the engulfing visuals that supplement a Sun Glitters live performance screams nostalgia. With the release of his Mush debut, Scattered Into Light, Sun Glitters has taken on the added element of female vocals from Italian songstress Sara Cappai of the dream-pop band Diverting Duo. Sun Glitters combines an ocean of lush melodies, pitch-shifted vocal samples, digi-diva choirs, warm bass pulses, and ambient soundscapes into a blisteringly beautiful sound.
Rome in Reverse is the project of Antonella Pacifico, Elena Montomoli and Ambra Nobile, three italian musicians living in Copenhagen.
Although dance music loops are the foundation, Rome in Reverse try not to make boring, conventional songs: they are so enriched by the voice of Antonella that, with the support of sounds and features, tracks become dynamic and harmonious. Rome In Reverse hide fragments, like the constant beat and upbeat, reverbs and delays. They love digital tools but also include analog, as the warm notes of Elena's guitar are wrapped in the sounds. Rome In Reverse loves visual art and minimal projections during concerts, that they get a shape thanks to Ambra. Music with visuals define the mood.
