Hot Garbage melt into a heavily volatile yet undeniably palatable amalgamation of sonic elements. Calling on the driving rhythms of dark post-punk and motorik krautrock, the Toronto-based outfit seamlessly works shining melodies and swirling textures into deliberate, brooding arrangements. With an eclectic range of inspiration spanning genres and art forms, fans of Sonic Youth, Broadcast, and 70’s era Iggy will find a familiar pull into the raw sound.
Following the release of two EP’s, Hot Garbage entered the studio with Juno-nominated producer Graham Walsh (of evil experimental Toronto supergroup Holy Fuck) in early 2020 to cut a selection of tracks live off the floor. The result was a blazing standalone single, Easy Believer, and the group’s debut long play offering, RIDE, composed of 33 reverb-soaked minutes to be pressed to vinyl and released on Mothland in October 2021. RIDE quickly made its way into SiriusXM rotation on CBC Radio 3 and The Verge, and climbed to #3 on the Earshot Top 50 and #82 on the NACC Top 200.
The quartet returns with sophomore album Precious Dream, an amalgamation of songs written in isolation and brought together in studio in late 2022 with Walsh at the helm once again. Though the band’s signature tinge of moody, heavy psychedelia remains present, Precious Dream careens at high speeds into a darker world of searing post-punk riffs, grappling with themes of dread, loss, the resilience of the human spirit and the highs and lows of solitude.

Phoenician Drive is a sextet formed in Brussels in 2016, a mix of rock and traditional music where the oud, derbuka, and other percussions confront distortions and pop sounds. In the footsteps of previous East-West musical blendings from the 70s such as Erkin Koray or Orient Express and under the influence of the German kraut-rock scene (Neu!, Can, Faust, ...). In 2017, their debut EP ‘Two Coins’ was released
on EXAG’ Records (EU) and Stolen Body Records (UK) and gained significant attention on the rock and world scenes. Then, in 2018, Phoenician Drive released their self-titled debut album on Exag’ Records & SK Records and also had the opportunity to collaborate with the renowned Belgian contemporary dance choreographer Wim Vandekeybus by writing the score for his show «Trap Town».

In the spring of 2019, the group decided to take a step back and work on an acoustic live show in order to return to the very roots of their approach and revisit their electric songs. The band toured exclusively with this acoustic format in 2021 and 2022.
Early 2021, Phoenician Drive started working on electric songs again with a new band member, drummer Jérémie Mosseray (Belgistan, Bernard Orkestar, Applause). These sessions gave birth to a new EP called «Glow». It was recorded and produced in Brussels in 2022 by Tom Stadnicky and to be released in spring 2023 on EXAG’ Records.
This new EP, lifted by vocals and more luminous and dancing colors, is nonetheless a direct reaction to the troubled context of the last two years of confinement and isolation. Hence the title ‘Glow’: a call for emancipation, generosity and all forms of freedom.

Frankie the band who ignored producing music until they build their own record machine in an old Mitsubishi workshop in Brussels, Belgium. In these headquarters they work on multiple things such as Bloody Sausage Restaurants, miserable theater performances and various musical and video-graphic side projects. In this gray workplace the band lives its own life. Frankie consists of stubborn individuals who try to work together from time to time, trying to steer the ship in the right direction without a captain. Half boys band, half mad scientists, the guys released their record ‘Blubber’ via EXAG’ Records.
Musically it's more majestic that you’d expect, think not-quite-Queen cabaret but if it came from early 90s Crypt Records Memphis roaster (Oblivions, The Gories etc) there is something about them that could recall easy-going nostalgic hits from history of rock The Make-Up,The Nation Of Ulysses but if they were in collaboration with The Mothers of Invention, less silly monty python, more Francis bacon on the plate…fried, crispy…burnt, black, tasty. Breakfast: most important meal of the day…
Their live shows are dangerous and deranged, their microphones more cracked and dust web covered than Dan Melchior, Billy Childish and Ben Wallers combined.
