About the Concert
Join Grimsøn at Urban Spree October 12th to celebrate the release of the anticipated indie rock debut - "Climbing Up The Chimney," with support from Berlin locals Westhafen.
Berlin based Grimsøn, the moniker of Aiden Berglund, a 20 something year old with an ear for beautiful melodies, translates his melancholic and whimsical sonic and visual art style into heart-rending and curiously captivating theater on his wonderfully well-crafted album debut, Climbing up the Chimney.
Originally born out of New York City and earning his stripes in its underground music scene, Grimsøn has brought his challenging and whimsical multimedia art-project to his adopted home in Berlin. Grimsøn wraps complex emotions - fear, nostalgia, hope - into layered and mischievous hand-drawn animations and carefully-crafted indie-rock songs, whose intricate harmonies and arrangements are made simple by a sincere and uniquely comforting voice.

About Westhafen:
Four young Berliners who have made it their mission to create an alternative to the monotonous bass buzz of their hometown. The result is still open and is constantly being refined, sometimes reminiscent of bands from the 2000s their sound is distorted, loud and unpredictable.
The songs sing about the the ups and downs of being alive - unadorned, honest and yet romantic! In recent years, Westhafen has already had the opportunity to enchant audiences in clubs and has graced the festival stages of the Taubertal-Festival(2019), Southside-Festival(2019) and Rocken am Brocken(2022). In October 2022, the musicians released their debut "In Case Of Emergency".
The album was created during an intensive time- out in a farmhouse at the North Sea with their producer Fabio Buemi. in 2023 the band started working on new songs, widening their musical horizons. Until the release of the new material in late autumn, the musicians used the summer to make contacts at showcases and to express their conspiratorial spirit at various festivals and clubs in Germany and abroad.
