Live: IN AETERNAM VALE
In Aeternam Vale was created in Lyon, France, in 1983 under the heavy influence of punk-rock nihilism, Kraftwerk roboticism and cold, aggressive industrialism. Bridging EBM, proto-techno and synthesised dark pop, Laurent Prot was making fearless music in the 80s recently (by the likes of Silent Servant, Regis and James Ruskin) being reinterpreted as equally or more important than anything coming out of Detroit for moulding the electronic rhythmic music landscape which we inhabit today. In Aeternam Vale, the French coldwave project helmed by Laurent Prot, has experienced an underground revival over the past few years. Following a prolific run of low-key tapes spanning back to 1984, his work has been getting a second look via Minimal Wave, Jealous God and other modern imprints. Samuel Kerridge's Contort Records has just announced the release of IN AETERNAM VALE's live at Berlin Atonal 2014 out on September 25, 2015.
VOID VISION
Void Vision is a Philadelphia-based electronic project helmed by Shari Vari. It began around 2009 at a time when a wave of synth-revivalists were materializing, but the quality of the songwriting and intense vocals set the band apart from the pack. In a rare instance, Void Vision has managed to combine vintage dance elements with melodic structures, haunting melancholy, and lyrics that have a palpable soul. The songs themselves are dynamic, referencing a cross-section of the last 30 years of electronic music, while simultaneously retaining a uniqueness all their own. The infamous Wierd Records weekly club night in New York, which showcased a variety of talented electronic and coldwave artists, served as an incubator for Void Vision in it’s early stages. The first official full-length album, entitled ‘Sub Rosa’ is set to debut on Berlin-based Mannequin Records, followed by a European tour in 2015.

MANNEQUIN RECORDS, now rebased in Berlin – Germany, is one of the most interesting labels devoted to synth wave and dark sounds. The label’s main purpose is to bring back to lid propose bands from this mostly undiscovered world. Faithful to the spirit of DIY, Mannequin releases are published in ultra limited artful packaged and hand numbered efe anditions. Some of Mannequin Records productions include the legendary double compilation of Danza Meccanica plus all the Italian new wave artists related, like Monuments, Musumeci, Chromagain, Tommy De Chirico, Intelligence Dept and many more. The attention of Mannequin is also concentrated on new names, the label in fact released records from some of the most importart contemporary international acts like Tropic of Cancer, Mushy, Phantom Love, Survive, Deathday DUST, Sixth June, Void Vision, Police Des Moeurs.
HERZSCHLAG is a new concept in Berlin nightlife bringing the finest selections of Cold Wave, Post-Punk, Minimal Synth, Old School EBM, Underground Electronic.
