About

Through stagings between trompe l'oeil and comic strip, Levalet has fun surprising passers-by by reinventing the history of the place. In a language more inspired by theatre than graffiti, the street artist gives life to characters who indulge in offbeat, even incongruous actions. His works, imbued with humour, mischievousness and poetry, encourage the spectator to better observe neglected urban spaces and to take a step back from the shortcomings of his daily life. In Paris, Barcelona or Bologna, the street becomes the stage for drawn compositions whose feigned realism alternates between the abyss of modern man's life and a jubilant fable.
