About

The book, which features 80 works by Polish artist Pawel Ryzko, is the result of a collaboration between the Kukugrafika studio and BD Gallery (formerly Brain Damage).

The book presents Ryzko's work over the last 14 years. The light, geometric forms of Ryzko's work are actually conceptual representations of contemporary issues such as violence, intolerance, women's rights, capitalism and religion.

The cover, designed by Sainer (Przemyslaw Blejzyk), was screen-printed with original hand-pasted graphics.

About the artist

Paweł Ryżko (b. 1984 Warsaw) is a poster artist, painter and muralist who lives and works in Warsaw. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In Paweł Ryżko's works, compositions of flat colours and geometric shapes take on symbolic meanings, somewhere between abstract and figurative. Drawing inspiration from the traditions of avant-garde design and urban art, he has created his own visual language.
