Tripl has been recreating/repainting each page of the original 1984 edition of the book "Subway Art" with his name Tripl and different aliases (such as Furious) but in the style of the originals on Dutch and European trains. He not only recreated the graffiti on trains, down to the smallest details, but also re-enacted as well the photographs of the original book.
The illegal conceptual project is simply astonishing and already achieved cult status. The first edition of the book is almost sold out.
Text has been (re-)written by Dr. Edward Birzin aka Dumar Novy, author of the dissertation Subway Art(fact) (2019), What Do One Million Tags Signify? (2017) and Nov York (2002).
