This print was created at the beginning of the French COVID confinement. At the time, the streets were empty and people where looking from their windows, wondering when and how they would be able to go out again. JR played with this image, pasting up one picture on the sidewalk showing anonymous person looking through the bitume.
JR wanted this image to be for everyone during this COVID confinement, to be interpreted differently. For him, it was hope.
