JR: The Ballerina Jumping in Containers Le Havre France

About

In July 2014, JR finalised his Women are Heroes project on the Port 2000 site in Le Havre. On Le Magellan, a 363-metre-long container ship, he glued the eyes of a woman on a voyage around the world.

Taking advantage of the site's exceptional, monumental setting, JR took a series of photographs with 4 dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet.

The containers become the medium for never-before-seen images that are an invitation to travel.
