Ciao, Dina Summer!

Dina Summer is a collaborative project of producer Kalipo and DJ-producer couple Local Suicide. Local Suicide is Greek native Dina P., one of the first female DJs in Thessaloniki before moving to Berlin, where she met her husband and the other half of Local Suicide. The powerhouse couple made a name for themselves releasing music on labels such as Eskimo Recordings, Lumière Noire and Ombra and have played a crucial part in the rise of the dark disco scene.
Meanwhile, Kalipo recently released his critically acclaimed fourth long player on KI Records and is part of the electro-punk band Frittenbude. Here he brings techno undertones to this unique project. Since 2019 the trio have been working together on a special blend of late 90’s electro with elements of 80’s disco and new wave. Their first EP on Iptamenos Discos received widespread praise and received massive support from German radio alongside plays from The Hacker, Digitalism, and Arnaud Rebotini.
This distinctive new album’s sound comes from two synthesisers and one microphone. Pounding disco beats under rattling bass sequences. It's a sound with roots in Italo disco classics, new wave and punk combined with electroclash of the noughties but now ready for summer 2022 from the beach to the club.
With this brilliant new album, Dina Summer breaks with conventions and catapults us directly into a new decade of dark disco. The album will be available from 15th July with lead single ‘Rimini’ out now.

The new innocence”, DIE SELEKTION’s self description, is the first of manyenthralling contradictions raised by the band. Fast beats, cutting bass lines, bleak andsubcooled synth layers, the coldness and dominance ofGerman lyricsand then–thelast thing you would expect:atrumpet. The plain brilliancyof how this works out leadsto one question only: Why has no one done this before? It doesn’t happen often thata new, young act finds such a good reception like these fledging boys from SouthernGermany. Already their very first demos caused a lot of attention and euphoria-a rareachievement in nowadays dark electronic "music scene"
DIE SELEKTION is a breath of fresh air in the dusty and often narrow minded world ofdark electronic dance music. Maybe their youth is the secret to their self confidenceand fearless approach, they overcame their idols easily and present the best possibleand modernemancipation from giant groups like DAF, NITZER EBB or FRONT 242.
Since their formation, DIE SELEKTION gained a lot of reputation with sold-out releasesand numerous live-performances all over Europe and Russia.Their powerful andsweaty Prosecco-infused live-shows helped them toquicklygrowfrom an insider tip toalive-act to be reckoned with. Afterthehighly anticipated release of their very first andself-titled album in 2011, a lineup change, their long-awaited and grown-up successor‘Deine Stimme Ist Der Ursprung Jeglicher Gewalt’, various Singles, Remixes andcollaborations-the band is now working on new material again, to be out in 2022.

Based in Berlin, Skelesys is a versatile, ever-evolving and particularly cutting-edge artist. He’s a producer and live act with a strong musical background inspired by Hard Rock, Post-Punk, Synth Pop, science fiction and horror movies.
His sound could be defined as haunted and effective, the result of a delicate and neat mixture of marked basses and guitar riffs always accompanied by thriller melodies and subtle grooves surrounded by darkness with a stripped down futuristic vibe.

Resident DJ at Munich's legendary Atomic Café (the smart club./Britwoch) from 2009 to 2014. Currently playing at Cord Club in Munich. I've played SXSW (German House), fashion shows (Premium Berlin), festival stages (Taubertal Steinbruch w/ Shantel & Frittenbude, Munich Spring Festival w/ K.I.Z.'s DJ Craft, Club Festival Traunstein w/ Schlachthofbronx) and the X-Games (Tony Hawk VIP Event and contests) but I also enjoy playing venues where people dance to more subtle stuff. I like my sets eclectic w/ quite a bit of unexpected stuff - as long as the dancefloor digs it. Venues I've played: Atomic Café München, Schlachthof Wiesbaden, Grüner Jäger Hamburg, Keller Klub Stuttgart, PULS Festival w/ Kid Koala, Werkstatt Köln, Schwarzes Schaf Augsburg, Taubertal Festival, Puerto Giesing, Favorit Bar, Starmelt @ Muffatwerk, Hirsch Nürnberg, M.C.
